Eligible international brokers may access Switzerland’s first exchange-traded retail Bitcoin fund through SIX after its launch, but that route does not authorize them to offer it to customers in the United States or elsewhere. The Bitcoin Fund ETF (BBIT) is expected to begin trading on SIX Swiss Exchange in November 2026. No exact start date has been announced. Danielle Reischuk, senior ETFs and ETPs sales manager at SIX Swiss Exchange, said brokers may access the fund directly as approved trading participants, subject to regulatory and technical requirements, or through an existing participant. BIT Asset Management says public sale of the fund is approved only in Switzerland. Whether a broker can offer BBIT to customers in another country depends on that country’s rules.
