Bitcoin’s 28-Day Realized Volatility Falls to 1.2% Near 2026 Low

Image: TokenPost

Bitcoin (BTC) has recorded 28-day realized volatility of 1.2%, near its lowest level of 2026, as subdued trading leaves the market unusually quiet ahead of two U.S. events. Realized volatility measures how much Bitcoin’s price moved over the preceding 28 days. The 1.2% reading describes past movement; it is not a measure of how much traders expect the price to move next. Bitcoin was already showing signs of a prolonged quiet period. It stayed within the range of its Sept. 21 candle through Oct. 19 , when its 28-day volatility was nearing its mid-August lows. The latest reading puts a figure on the continued decline in price movement. Bitcoin trading activity remains subdued. Volatility could rise as the Federal Reserve’s next rate decision and the U.S. midterm elections draw closer.
