Bitcoin reclaims $80K – Why THESE signals threaten BTC’s price recovery

Bitcoin [BTC] has reclaimed the $80,000 level, which is sitting above the 100-week Exponential Moving Average (EMA). This indicates a potential shift from short bearish control to bullish as long as BTC remains above the EMA. The broader market is also green, with gains of about 2.38% on the day, with the total crypto capitalization approaching $2.70 trillion. On the charts, Bitcoin is trading above a bull flag that had been in place since late September 2025. The EMA is also trading above the 0.50 Fibonacci retracement levels, a confirmation that BTC is entering the premium zone. Still, buyers have yet to show real dominance over bears with the MACD faintly green. Therefore, a breakdown to around $60,000 may be viable if bulls cannot keep the price above the EMA.
