Binance Bitcoin (BTC) Perpetual Book Shows $10.77 Million More Sell-Side Depth

Image: TokenPost

Binance’s Bitcoin (BTC) perpetual order book showed about $10.77 million more nearby sell orders than buy orders in a snapshot, leaving the displayed book weighted toward sell-side liquidity. Sell-side depth totaled about $48.28 million, compared with about $37.51 million in buy orders. The $10.77 million surplus represented 12.55% of combined depth. A listed sell order for 76.87 BTC at $78,380 had a nominal value of about $6.02 million. That price was $46, or about 0.06%, above the $78,334 midpoint. Order-book depth reflects orders posted in a particular market snapshot, rather than all Bitcoin trading across exchanges. These figures describe Binance’s perpetual market and do not show completed trades. An earlier Binance perpetual-book snapshot showed the opposite balance, with bids exceeding asks by $1.28 million.
