Zillions Launches a Desktop Browser Wallet for Zcash Users

Image: TokenPost

Zillions launched a desktop-browser wallet for Zcash (ZEC) on Oct. 27, giving users a self-custodial way to manage shielded and unshielded balances and transfers in one product. The browser app works with a Keychain extension that can create, import and manage multiple Zcash accounts. The wallet also supports Ledger hardware wallets. Anoma proposed Zconnect on July 23 as an interface for web apps to request signing operations from wallet extensions. The proposal named Zillions as its first candidate and presented a draft API for discussion. It does not establish which proposed functions are live in the wallet. Keychain requests permission to access browser tabs and data for all websites. Its developer says the extension does not require data collection. Simon Yoon reports on blockchain technology for TokenPost.
