Sui expands into Brazil as Mercado Bitcoin adds SUI network support

Sui, a layer-1 blockchain developed for high throughput and low latency transactions, is expanding its reach in Latin America by partnering with Mercado Bitcoin . Mercado Bitcoin is recognized as Latin America’s largest digital asset exchange and now stands as the first platform in Brazil to integrate Sui network transfers. Through this collaboration, Mercado Bitcoin’s 4.5 million clients are able to buy, sell, send, and receive SUI tokens, as well as stablecoins USDC and USDsui directly on the exchange. The move provides Brazilian users with a new entry point into Sui’s ecosystem, broadening the asset choices on one of the region’s most established digital asset platforms. USDsui, Sui’s own stablecoin, will have expanded utility by being eligible as collateral for Mercado Bitcoin’s lending offerings.
