Solana (SOL), the network’s native token, ended its Oct. 14 UTC daily candle above $100, while September network measures moved in opposite directions and U.S. inflation came in above economists’ annual forecast. SOL/USD closed at $104.18 on the Oct. 14 UTC daily candle, 2.38% below its $106.72 open. The candle ended at 8 p.m. ET Wednesday, Oct. 14 (00:00 UTC Thursday, Oct. 15). The Consumer Price Index (CPI) release came at 8:30 a.m. ET (12:30 UTC) Wednesday, but the timing alone does not show that inflation caused the full-day decline. The CPI rose 0.6% from August on a seasonally adjusted basis and 3.7% year over year in September, up from 3.4% annual inflation in August. The annual rate was above economists’ 3.6% forecast.
