Solana (SOL), one of the leading layer-1 blockchains, has recorded a massive increase in transaction activity, with its non-vote transaction count more than doubling compared to late 2025. According to a recent announcement by the official Solana account on X, the network processed a staggering 8.92 billion non-vote transactions in the third quarter of 2026. Solana co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko, better known as Toly, responded to the milestone with a characteristically brief comment. The 104% growth represents a significant increase from approximately 4.38 billion transactions recorded in the fourth quarter of 2025. Notably, Solana also recorded 7.54 billion transactions in the first quarter of 2026, followed by 7.19 billion in the second quarter.
