Shield announced Wednesday that users can trade Zcash (ZEC) against USDCx on Shield Swap, its Aleo-based automated market maker, and add liquidity to a concentrated-liquidity pool. Access is limited to eligible participants and barred in restricted jurisdictions. Shield Swap keeps wallet balances and account histories confidential from public view, while trading pairs, amounts, prices and routes remain visible. Zcash has two transaction modes: transparent transactions make wallet activity public, while shielded transactions encrypt transaction data. Shield’s earlier liquidity partnership with Flowdesk was aimed at institutional and professional traders. That announcement did not name supported trading pairs.
