Huobi HTX plans to open spot and grid trading for Derive (DRV)/USDT at 8 a.m. ET (12:00 UTC) Thursday, Oct. 15, adding the token to the exchange’s available markets. DRV deposits were scheduled to open at 6 a.m. ET (10:00 UTC) Thursday. Withdrawals are scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. ET (12:00 UTC) Friday, Oct. 16. Derive has three components: Derive Chain, Derive Protocol and Derive Exchange. Derive Chain is an Optimistic rollup built with OP Stack that uses Ethereum for settlement. Derive Protocol runs on the chain and supports permissionless, self-custodial perpetual, options and spot-margin trading. Derive Exchange matches trades through a centralized order book and settles them through the protocol. John Kim reports on the digital-asset business for TokenPost.
