Dogecoin (DOGE) posted the largest 24-hour open-interest increase among five major crypto assets Tuesday, while Bitcoin (BTC) led funding rates, reversing their ranking in an Oct. 18 snapshot. At 7:05 p.m. ET (23:05 UTC) Oct. 20, DOGE open interest was up 6.89% to $226.9 million. Bitcoin’s funding rate stood at 0.0085% per eight hours, or 9.3% annualized, the highest of the five assets. Funding was positive across the group. In perpetual futures, a positive rate means traders holding long positions pay traders holding short positions. Open interest is the value of outstanding contracts; its 24-hour change shows whether that total grew or shrank. Bitcoin had the group’s largest open-interest total at $7.86 billion, up 0.94% over 24 hours. Its mark price was $82,999.
