BNB Chain prepares a new Layer 1 blockchain for early 2027, with an ambition: to exceed 100,000 transactions per second and reduce block production to 200 milliseconds. The project, provisionally called New L1, will operate alongside BNB Smart Chain without creating a new crypto. Changpeng Zhao (CZ), founder of Binance, supports this approach.
