Crypto: BNB Chain Gears Up to Launch a New Blockchain in 2027

BNB Chain prepares a new Layer 1 blockchain for early 2027, with an ambition: to exceed 100,000 transactions per second and reduce block production to 200 milliseconds. The project, provisionally called New L1, will operate alongside BNB Smart Chain without creating a new crypto. Changpeng Zhao (CZ), founder of Binance, supports this approach. The first experiments are already underway, but the public network is not yet available. BNB Chain no longer relies solely on improving its current network. A technical documentation updated on October 22 presents a new Layer 1 blockchain designed to operate alongside BNB Smart Chain (BSC). This infrastructure is intended to host crypto applications requiring particularly fast transactions. The project does not start from scratch.
