Anchorage Expands Bitso Partnership to Bring MXNB Stablecoin Custody to Six Blockchains

Image: Crypto Economy

The partnership between Anchorage Digital Bank and Bitso was extended to take on the institutional custody of the MXNB stablecoin (pegged to the Mexican peso) across six blockchains: Ethereum , Arbitrum, Base, Polygon, Avalanche, and Arc . In parallel, the Latin American platform integrated the dollar-pegged stablecoins USDPT (Western Union) and USAT (Tether), both issued and under the regulated safeguard of the U.S. banking entity. This integration consolidates a unified bank custody layer on both sides of the United States–Mexico remittance corridor, one of the cross-border payment routes with the highest global volume, where Bitso already processes 15% of the total. Multichain interoperability reduces operational costs and friction compared to traditional correspondent banking methods, providing continuous institutional liquidity to issuing companies and financial intermediaries.
